This is what I've made a career of as a marketer and editor for startups and corporations, taking brand stories and recreating them in another language. Some call it localization, some call it transcreation.
I call it good branding.

Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Vickie Wang is a bilingual writer, interpreter, and stand-up comedian fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and American cultural references. She's lived in Asia, Scandinavia, and the good ol' American Midwest.
As a writer and editor, she's worked for Gensler, LEGO, and Disney. Her work has been published in The New York Times, RADII, China Media Project, and The World of Chinese.
As an interpreter and translator, she's worked for The New York Times, Microsoft, PEN America, HBO Asia, and many more.
As a stand-up comedian, she's performed in Taipei, Shanghai, New York City, and opened for renown international headliners like Atsuko Okatsuka and Elena Gabrielle.
She's relocating to New York, New York, and is currently looking for a full-time writing position.
