This is what I've made a career of as a writer and interpreter, taking stories and recreating them in another language; taking a technical subject and making it accessible. Some call it localization, some call it transcreation.

I call it good writing.

About

Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Vickie Wang is a bilingual writer, interpreter, and stand-up comedian fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and American cultural references. She's lived in Asia, Scandinavia, and the good ol' American Midwest. 

As a writer and editor, she's worked for Gensler, LEGO, and Disney. Her work has been published in The New York Times, RADII, China Media Project, and The World of Chinese. 

As an interpreter and translator, she's worked for Microsoft, The New York Times, PEN America, HBO Asia, and many more. 

As a stand-up comedian, she's performed in Taipei, Shanghai, New York City, and opened for renown international headliners like Atsuko Okatsuka, Jenny Yang, and
Elena Gabrielle. 

She's just relocated to New York and is looking for a full-time writing position.
